Solstice (1989, NES) has always been in my list of important games. Sure, Ultimate’s filmation engine invented the genre, but Solstice’s production quality—an unlikely soundtrack and pixel-perfect, saturated sprites—elevated that same genre.
1UP! (a French gaming site) posted the first full isometric map of the game and it’s beautiful.
