A fantastic painter with output that perfectly captures late 1990s. Tragically, his life was cut short by a plane crash in 2002—it’s hard not to wonder what visions he’d be producing in 2013. Recommended: Michel Majerus retrospective by Kunstmuseum Stuttgart (2012).
